It has been a busy year for RESIST, and as 2024 draws to a close, it’s time to take stock of the progress made and look ahead to what awaits us in 2025!
This last newsletter of 2024 offers up some of the highlights from the project’s second year, during which time consortium partners were able to meet in person on two occasions.
Back in June, partners gathered for a plenary meeting among the fjords in our northernmost region, Vesterålen, in Norway. In November, Vesterålen’s twinned region Extremadura hosted the consortium in the historic city of Plasencia in Spain.
Along the way, we’ve shared our progress through engaging articles and activities in our 12 participating regions and beyond.
We were even in the spotlight at COP29 – albeit online – with our third media session, which focused on advancing climate emergency reporting in European newsrooms, thanks to our collaboration with “We Don’t Have Time”.
Read on to discover our major milestones for 2024.
And here’s to more exciting work together in 2025!
